Responsibility over Rules and Norms

NDA has decided to boycott the entire Budget session. In a statement read out by NDA convener George Fernandes at a joint press conference said,

"After considering the issue of boycott in detail, the NDA leaders have unanimously come to the conclusion that in view of the government's undemocratic and intemperate attitude towards the opposition and its complete disregard of all parliamentary norms and standards, the NDA has no alternative except to boycott the rest of the session until May 13,".

During the week, some of the NDA MPs had signed the daily attendance register and had claimed for their daily allowance of Rs.500. This was brought to the notice of the Parliment by some of the ruling party MPs, Ambika Soni and others. However, they did not mention the name of any of the MPs who did so.

They were correct in pointing out that without attending the session they are not entitled to the benefits. The issue here is not just about boycoting a day, it is about discharging your responsbilities.

* The NDA will not attend the session and at the end of the session the Finance Bill will be passed by the ruling party without any meaningful discussion on some of the critical issues.

* This kind of political drama is not the first of its kind and UPA has also done it in the past. Who is going to bell these cats?

* NDA says there is complete disregard of all parlimentary norms and standards. But what about their accountability and responsibilty towards the people who have elected them. Shouldn't everyone be there to discuss the issues that affect our life and pave wqay for a better future.

Allegations against each other and walk outs every day, will not take us anywhere. I hope our esteemed Members of Parliment understands it, before its too late.

Unbiased Washing machine

A spanish designer has come with a washing machine that has finger print recognition technology. Both husband and wife have to register their finger prints. Then, the washing machine will not let the same person to use the machine twice in a row.

The scientist, Pep Torres, from DeBuenaTinta in Barcelona says,

"I thought it would be good to finish with macho man from the ice age who doesn't do anything around the house except drink beers,"

and added,
"I hope both women and men will think it's time for the men to do more around the house".

I need a clarification on this,
* If one of the partner is out of station for a week, then what happens? Who will be blamed for not washng hte clothes?
